Product Description: Silver Plated Steel earring hooks are wire-wrapped in Silver Plated Copper while Gold Finished Stainless Steel is wire wrapped in Gold Finished Silver Plated Copper wire which are both tarnish resistant. The Copper earring hooks are wrapped with pure copper so these are non-tarnishing.
For those with sensitive ears we’d suggest Sterling Silver option.
The Sterling Silver (SS) earring hook option is wire wrapped with .925 Sterling Silver wire. The more you wear SS the less the piece will actually tarnish with humans natural oils breaking down tarnish and dust. Store in a dark place away from air and water (recommended in a box or airtight container/zip-lock bag). Over time your piece may tarnish, but can be rejuvenated by cleaning and polishing.
